On Sunday April 13th 2025, a shrine for Shri ShantiMayiji, a Master of the Sacha lineage, was inaugurated at Sacha Dham ashram, in her garden. The puja (spiritual ceremony) was led by Pandit Tripathiji, one of Maharajji’s first disciples. ShantiMayi had peacefully left her body at 7:45 am on Sunday February 16th, 2025. Since then, there have been fire ceremonies, havans, prayer groups gathering all over the world offering ceremonies in gratitude and celebration for her, such as the Shodashi Shraddhanjali Samaroh – a Vedic commemoration of prayer, reflection and community offering in March.

It was there that many of her early satsangs took place, before being held in the ashram’s satsang hall. Her garden is home to so many spiritual ceremonies that the peaceful vibrations there are strong. In one part of the garden there is a mandir for Lord Ganesha, while the big space in front of the house, overlooking Ganga (the Ganges) saw her early satsangs and pujas.

Saint Hans Raj Maharajji Sacha Baba, her Master tells us that after four years with him, and her enlightening experience, ShantiMayi, through an inner voice, was told by Sacha Baba to travel to different countries and through him (Sacha Baba), bring his energy to the people. So she told Maharajji, and surrendered to him. According to him, when she started this work, the first time she travelled to eleven countries, and the second time, twenty-two countries. And each time more and more disciples came to the ashram after her visits.(Interview with Maharajji (1999) – Jivanjili)
Sacha Dham meant far more to ShantiMayi than simply “her Master’s ashram”, for according to Saint Hans Raj Maharajji, the ashram was built to assist the Spiritual Regeneration of the world, (Shift in consciousness, Parivartan) to provide a source of light for sincere seekers, “… a center in Uttarakhand, which will be a pillar of light for the whole world.” (Saint Sacha Baba Kulanandaji).
